To meet the need for more awareness and implementation of restorative practice, the Trust developed a “Restorative Practice Foundation” (pilot) course and this was successfully delivered by Shelly Harkness, Facilitator/Coordinator.  Shelly and the 14 participants from a variety of organisations, met one morning a week for five weeks and actively engaged in learning about restorative practice including the philosophy, language and circle work.  This included practicing informal restorative tools to build healthy relationships and also to work through low level conflicts.

Participants gained an understanding of restorative practice as an alternative approach to relationship difficulties and conflict, not only with colleagues in the workplace, but in any relationship.

The next Restorative Practice Foundation course will soon be advertised.  In the meantime, If you would like to register your interest and/or look at a workshop for your organisation, please get in touch!
